Central Okanagan

Early Years Partnership

Our  Structure

The Central Okanagan Early Years Partnership (COEYP) is lead by a large community table of partners that meet 6-10 times a year to collaborate, share information and work together on projects and activities as determined by our Strategic Action plan.

We collaborate closely with Suxkenxitelx kl cecamala, the Aboriginal Early Years table.

We have a Stewardship committee that meets monthly and reviews the day to day workings of the partnership and recommends actions to the community table.

For specific projects and activities we also convene smaller Action teams.  Current action teams are:

  • Social Emotional Action Team (SEAT)
                    • The goals of this team is to increase awareness of ways to promote Social Emotional development in children
  • Poverty Reduction Strategy Committee
                    • The role of this Committee will be to undertake work to develop a Central Okanagan Poverty Reduction Strategy. This strategy will focus on addressing the root causes of poverty and systemic issues that lead to individuals and families living in poverty.
