Central Okanagan

Early Years Partnership

ELECTION 2018 - Municipal

Kelowna All Candidates Forum

October 17, 2018, 7-9 pm

Rutland Centennial Hall, 180 Rutland Rd N, Kelowna

Hosted by Central Okanagan Early Years Partnership and B.C. Poverty Reduction Coalition

Public opinion polling shows that British Columbians believe poverty is one of the most important issues needing to be addressed in this province. This forum is an opportunity for candidates to let constituents know how they plan to address poverty and early childhood development at the local level.

This forum is part of a broader, coordinated initiative to drive awareness and action to reduce poverty in the Central Okanagan.  Due to the timeliness of the topic and broad engagement of our community, we anticipate that this will be a well-attended event.

All candidates will receive a package by September 28th with background information, information about the role that local government can play, examples from other communities successes and all questions that will asked asked during the forum.

The public will be engaged prior to the forum by submitting questions in advance.
